About The Position

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking productive nurse scientists for tenure track faculty positions as part of the RISE-THRIVE initiative, aimed at enhancing interdisciplinary health research. Successful candidates will engage in research, teaching, and mentoring, contributing to the School of Nursing's mission to improve health care services and individual health across the lifespan. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the development of externally funded research programs in various health-related areas.

Requirements

• Earned research doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in Nursing or related field.
• Graduate degree in nursing if the doctorate is not in nursing.
• Research training or experience in conducting health-related research projects.
• Potential for developing an outstanding scholarly research program.
• Record of research dissemination through publications and/or presentations.
• Potential for securing extramural grant funding.
• Knowledge and/or emerging skills to teach and mentor at undergraduate or graduate levels in nursing or health-related field.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a collaborative and innovative research program.
• Conduct research studies and manage research staff.
• Follow all research compliance policies and disseminate research results.
• Seek extramural research funding consistent with national priorities.
• Teach courses aligned with expertise at Baccalaureate and/or graduate levels.
• Mentor undergraduate honors students, PhD students, and postdoctoral trainees/fellows.
• Contribute to school, university, community, and professional activities through academic service.
