The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Villanova University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Electrical Engineering starting in August 2025. Exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered. Candidates with a proven record of research and publications are sought in the broad areas of electric energy systems and signal processing and communications. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has established laboratories in the areas of electric energy systems and signal processing and communications. In the area of electric energy systems, the Department supports the Sustainable Energy and Materials Research Laboratory, which is equipped to perform development and characterization of batteries, fuel cells, and solar cells. Equipment includes an electrochemical spectroscopy unit with power booster, power supplies and electronic loads (up to 50V/100A) along with two Tenney Jr. thermal chambers for environmental testing. The Department also hosts state-of-the art laboratories in Radar, Wireless Communications, Antennas, and Microwaves, which support innovative and cutting-edge research in radio frequency communications, radar, and sensing technologies.
