About The Position

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacoengineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics (DPMP) within the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. This position is aimed at candidates with research expertise in drug delivery and/or pharmaceutics. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of publications that demonstrate innovation and an interest in translating novel technologies into real-world impact for patients. The successful candidate is expected to establish a competitive and independent research program and contribute to the education and training of students in both the Doctoral of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PhD) graduate program and the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) professional program. The selected candidate will be appointed in the DPMP and will have the opportunity to engage with various institutes and centers on campus, including the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Carolina Institute for Nanomedicine, and the Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery. The position also offers collaboration opportunities with nearby institutions such as Duke University and North Carolina State University, which frequently organize joint efforts with UNC faculty, including symposia and seminars. The successful candidate will also have access to technology development services through the Eshelman Innovation Institute, NC Biotech Center, and Carolina Kick Start, enhancing their research capabilities and impact.
