About The Position
The College of Science and Mathematics at Charleston Southern University is seeking applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Computer Science position. One tenure track faculty position in Computer Science to begin Aug 1, 2025.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Expertise or demonstrated experience in AI, cybersecurity, or similar specializations preferred.
- Commitment to integrating the Christian faith in all areas of learning, leading, and serving.
- A strong record of teaching, research, and service, or evidence of potential in these areas
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate computer science courses, emphasizing areas such as AI, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Conduct research and supervise student research projects.
- Engage in academic advising and mentorship of students.
- Serve on university committees and contribute to the broader academic community.
- Support departmental initiatives and engage in collaborative curriculum development.
