About The Position
The Communication Studies Department at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Los Angeles, CA, seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Strategic Rhetorical Studies, starting Fall 2025. Possible research areas include, but are not limited to, social movement rhetoric, mobility and migration, rhetoric and space, campaigns, public policy, propaganda, and disinformation and misinformation. Applicants should clearly describe how they take a strategic communication approach to one or more of these applied contexts. We value expertise in diverse methodologies and value forms of research that engage and develop partnerships outside of academia. Join our faculty. We seek a candidate with primary expertise in Rhetorical Studies with an emphasis in the strategic application of rhetoric.
