About The Position

The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time tenure-track position at the assistant professor level with a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning fall 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach at the graduate as well as undergraduate level; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the university, college, department, and profession.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in an appropriate engineering field or a closely related engineering or science discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Recent and relevant practical experience in applied research and technology development in advanced manufacturing systems
• Experience in design/modeling/control of manufacturing systems
• Experience with cyber-physical systems, applied AI, smart manufacturing, and data-driven discovery/optimization
• Experience working in or with industry or government entities like national labs
