Tenure-Track Assistant Professor - Department of Graduate Psychology
About The Position
The Department of Graduate Psychology in the College of Health and Behavioral Studies (CHBS) at James Madison University is seeking a neuropsychologist to join our collegial and collaborative faculty in August, 2026. This 10-month tenure track faculty position will be filled at the assistant rank, with salary commensurate with experience. Candidates should demonstrate promise in teaching and scholarship, with interest in potential grant development. We are especially interested in an individual who makes neuroscience and neuropsychology findings accessible across disciplines, professionals, and clinical populations. This is not a remote position. Applicants must be available for on-campus activities on multiple days throughout the week during the 10-month contract period.
Requirements
- Doctorate from an APA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, School, or Combined-Integrated Psychology
- Formal training in neuropsychology during internship or post-doctoral training and/or certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
- Licensure in Virginia or license-eligible with ability to obtain licensure in Virginia by the start date
