The Department of Psychology in the College of Letters & Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of clinical, counseling, or school psychology beginning August 2026. This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate courses, and potentially graduate courses, depending on specialization; research; and service to the university and community. Research expertise should include specialization in clinical/counseling/school psychology. The successful candidate will be able to develop and teach clinically-oriented undergraduate courses (e.g., psychopathology), and an introductory course in psychology or general education. Depending on specialization there is potential to teach clinically-oriented graduate courses as part of the School Psychology Program. In addition, the candidate will be expected to pursue an active research agenda that engages undergraduate students, results in publications, and contributes to advancing the department, the university, the profession, and society. The candidate will be expected to participate in service activities and embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community. We have a number of graduate assistants available to support instruction and research efforts, a supportive university Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and start-up funding is negotiable. Early career course load reduction to support research and other academic endeavors is potentially available.
