About The Position

The School has fostered a culture of collaboration and a strong community of support for research faculty to build their programs and to thrive. The Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics at Rutgers SHP is looking for a tenure-track faculty (multiple openings) with expertise in Biomedical and Health Informatics, Data Science, Health-related AI, Digital Health or related field. Special consideration will be given to candidates with Health AI expertise, applicable to aging, opioid addition, and neurodegenerative disorders. The tenure-track faculty member’s primary responsibility is in conducting research (80-90% effort) to grow and sustain an extramurally and federally funded research program. A small allocation of effort is towards teaching and service (10-20% maximum). Teaching may include mentoring of graduate students and post-docs. Tenure track or tenured faculty members are supervised by the department head, director or research dean and may exercise supervision of professional research staff, graduate assistants or fellows, undergraduate, or student employees.
