The Department of Public Health Sciences invites applicants for a 9-month, Full-time, Tenure-Track, Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Health position. The position begins in August 2026. The Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS), part of the College of Health Sciences, advances public health as both a scientific discipline and a practice-based profession. Our program offerings include a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, an EHAC-accredited Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science, and a CEPH-accredited Master of Public Health (MPH), among other undergraduate, minor, and certificate programs. DPHS faculty engage in research, community partnerships, and innovative pedagogy that integrate classroom learning with applied practice experiences. Courses may be offered in-person, online, and/or hybrid modalities, depending on department needs. The ideal candidate will use innovative teaching skills and demonstrate strong attention to the learning and teaching needs of the department's students. Their experience, substantive specialization, and pedagogical training will serve to strengthen the department's mission and vision. The faculty will collaborate with other departmental and college faculty and staff to ensure student success. The candidate is a dynamic teacher-scholar with both practice-based experience and research expertise in public health that complements the department's mission. This is a full-time, 9-month appointment. There is potential for summer and winter session instructional opportunities.
