About The Position

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, School of Public Health (SPH), invites applications for a tenure/tenure stream faculty at the assistant to full professor level. We are seeking faculty candidates with transdisciplinary experience in the environmental health sciences, toxicology, and molecular epidemiology. Ideal candidates should have experience in modern investigative and computational approaches to identifying and resolving the health effects of contemporary contaminants and/or the exposome of major concern to public health. Expertise in the environmental pathology and appropriate epidemiologic methods, as well as integration of responses within the exposome, is desirable. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests include health effects of environmental contaminants, chemical and non-chemical stressors. Emphasis on redox biology and/or mitochondria would be complementary to the strengths of the department which include neurodegenerative, pulmonary, and cardiorenal diseases, as well as maternal and child health. MD/PhD or an equivalent doctoral-level degree. Preferred background in Env Health Sciences, Toxicology, and molecular epidemiology or similar field. Candidates will be expected to develop or have an established independent and sustainable research program within the collaborative departmental environment. The candidate's research approach and experience will inform their participation in the department's teaching mission, which includes MS and PhD programs, as well as an MPH program accredited by the National Environmental Health Association.
