About The Position

Employee will work up to 4 hours each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during June and July at Winter Park Tennis Courts. Employee will be able supervise children between the age of 5-17. Employee will be able to demonstrate and teach the fundamentals of tennis.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of the sport of tennis
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from High School or GED Certificate preferred. High School Students may be acceptable in some circumstances.
• Experience with Park & Recreation seasonal activities, preferred.
• Ability to work with necessary equipment to complete the tasks successfully.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children between the age of 5-17
• Demonstrate and teach the fundamentals of tennis
• Understanding and explaining tennis rules to participants
• Teach the fundamental methods of play and good sportsmanship
• Supervise all participants during lessons and maintain order at all times
• Demonstrate and teach various aspects of play
• Communicate and relate to and work with children
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, uses proper safety equipment
• Effectively present Parks & Recreation information to the public
