About The Position

This position is responsible for operating the bagger machine which includes setting up the program, calibrating, and adjusting the machine parameters to produce the desired bag size and bag weights. The machine operator will perform regular checks on filled/sealed bags of product to ensure proper machine performance and adjust the machine accordingly to meet product specifications. The machine operator will ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensure proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. The person in this position is responsible for the mixing of marination by ensuring proper ingredients and quantities are used for marination formulas and ensure marination mix is maintained proper temperature and in accordance with specifications. The team member in this position will be responsible for filling out Quality Assurance verifications and using handheld scanning devices to manage inventory of ingredients utilized. Must be able to climb stairs while carrying ingredients to dump into the marination tank. Basic math (adding and subtracting) skills are required to keep track of the pounds needed and dumped into the marination tank. The machine operator will be notifying the supervisor if machinery should require maintenance, all while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility.
  • Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Applications will be considered from the following counties: Washington, Benton, and Madison.
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
