Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement within project environments (EPC, utilities, industrial).
  • Proven track record managing large-scale procurement plans and driving OTD ≥ 95%.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier quality processes and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), scheduling tools (P6/MS Project), and analytics platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end tender and project procurement for EPC programs.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and supplier lists aligned with bid requirements.
  • Issue RFIs/RFQs and perform techno-commercial evaluations with engineering teams.
  • Build and own the Project Procurement Plan (PPP) and procurement schedule.
  • Anticipate and mitigate delivery risks through proactive planning and recovery paths.
  • Support negotiations on pricing, warranties, and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Drive expediting plans to achieve on-time delivery for critical-path equipment.
  • Publish procurement dashboards and risk heatmaps for project visibility.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
