About The Position

Siemens Energy Inc. - Grid Solutions (Raleigh, NC) is seeking a Tender Manager with a strong passion for customer engagement and satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering industry-leading Grid Solutions such as Synchronous Condensers (SynCon), Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM), and Fixed Series Capacitors (FSC). The Tender Manager will support proposal activities for Grid Solutions and report to the Head of Tender Management, North America, working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams throughout the acquisition phase.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related field. Experience with Grid Solutions Utilities preferred.
  • Experience with setting up and executing self-perform work.
  • Records of building and delivery of large programs.
  • Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e., operational, financial, strategic, and tactical thinking, etc.
  • Technical and business type verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win.
  • Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel as business requires
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write competitive sales proposals for Grid Solutions FACTS projects, ensuring feasibility and alignment with EPC market standards.
  • Collaborate with global and U.S. engineering teams to deliver complete, high-quality bid packages and technically sound solutions.
  • Engage with customers to understand their business goals, operational challenges, and technical requirements.
  • Apply Siemens Energy's full range of products and services to meet customer objectives while ensuring compliance with design criteria and industry codes.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and subcontractors to incorporate accurate cost estimates and supplier quotes.
  • Maintain strong industry knowledge and demonstrate critical thinking to resolve complex, cross-functional challenges effectively.
