About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking Temporary Part-Time Industrial Welders for their Idabel, Oklahoma Lumber facility. This role focuses on metal fabrication and structural welding while ensuring a commitment to safety and quality work in a manufacturing environment. The position requires weekend work and offers a pay range of $22 - $29 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

• High school education or GED is required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in Industrial Mechanical work.
• Stable employment history is necessary.
• Ability to perform essential job functions including physical demands such as climbing, lifting, and navigating various environments.
• Basic computer experience is required.
• Proficient use of cutting tools such as torches and metabos is necessary.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment examination, drug test, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical school certificate is preferred.
• Experience with SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal fabrication and structural welding tasks.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations diligently.
• Work weekends as required by operating conditions.
• Climb stairs and ladders, navigate catwalks, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs.
• Use aerial work platforms, fork trucks, and manlifts at various heights and locations in the manufacturing environment.
• Work in extreme temperatures throughout the assigned shift.
• Fit test and wear a respirator as required.
• Utilize basic computer skills for operational tasks.
• Pass a structural welding test.
