About The Position

Cedar Hills Has an Opportunitiy For an Inpatient Temporary Therapist - 6 Month Contract $60 an Hour Current Openings: Unit Therapist – This position works on the units for patients who are admitted, again for anything from detox to acute psychiatric issues. A unit therapist will run group therapy, meet individually with patients, assist with discharge planning, join treatment team meetings, etc. This position is comprised of 5 – 8 hour shifts. Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program in Portland, Oregon dedicated to healing patients’ minds and bodies. Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
one (1) of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field. LMSW, or LCSW license required or working to obtain licensure.
CPR certification, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment.
Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire.
May be required to work flexible hours and overtime on occasion.
