Requirements

  • Experience in a NAEYC accredited facility or Texas Rising Star preschool.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with children from birth through Kinder.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the child development specialist in planning and implementing classroom programs.
  • Develop weekly lesson plans with age-appropriate activities.
  • Provide instruction to children through the implementation of lesson plans.
  • Demonstrate age-appropriate development and behavior of children.
  • Guide students regarding center rules and assist with daily assignments.
  • Prepare reports and maintain training and attendance records.
  • Organize and participate in games and educational activities.
  • Maintain discipline and cleanliness in the classroom.
  • Communicate with parents about children's progress and behavior.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and participate in staff training.
