About The Position
Silgan Containers, a leading producer of metal food packaging and a worldwide manufacturer of dispensing and specialty closures, is seeking motivated Temporary Summer Help for its Edison, NJ team. This role offers a behind-the-scenes look into the fast-paced manufacturing world, focusing on maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Silgan is also a major manufacturer of custom-designed plastic containers in North America and is committed to sustainability through recyclable products and eco-conscious partnerships.
Requirements
- Prioritize a safe work environment, consistently wear all required PPE, and bring a positive, "can-do" attitude to the floor
- Ability to read/comprehend directions and communicate effectively
- Ready to work hard and stay active in a high-energy, fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Highly dependable, arrive on time for every shift, and maintain an excellent attendance record
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Comfortable pushing, pulling, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 10 lbs. regularly
Responsibilities
- Assist with product sorting and quality inspections (HFI)
- Keep our facility safe and efficient through various clean-up tasks
- Tackle other duties as assigned by the management team
Benefits
- Pay: $24.49 per hour
