JOB DUTIES Assists and trains in aseptic recovery of corneas, sclera, skin, bone/connective, and cardiovascular tissue. Supports tissue recovery team by: Gathering supplies/equipment. Cleaning recovery site (pre/post). Collecting blood/tissue samples. Performing physical assessments. Preparing donor (shaving/cleansing). Recovering tissues aseptically. Labeling/packaging tissues. Assisting with donor reconstruction. Preparing tissues for shipment. Learns to independently recover ocular tissues. Cleans, packages, and sterilizes instruments per OR and TSC standards. Assists with packaging tissues for shipment per storage needs. Ensures complete and accurate documentation. Various administrative and clerical assignments filled on an as needed basis.
