About The Position

The Idaho Transportation Department is recruiting multiple Transportation Technicians to work for up to 5 months. These temporary positions will provide additional support to keep our highways safe and clear this winter season. Idaho Transportation Department is seeking individuals who are hardworking and interested in a seasonal snow removal equipment operator position. These individuals need to be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as with a team to provide a high-quality service.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Class A or B CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow removal equipment to keep highways safe and clear during winter.
• Work in various weather conditions and under hazardous conditions.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as clearing brush and lifting heavy objects.
• Work irregular shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.

Benefits

• Hourly rates based on snowplow experience: 0 to 2 winter seasons = $21.05, 2.1 - 3.9 winter seasons = $22.60, 4+ winter seasons = $24.14, 6 + winter seasons = $25.83.
