About The Position
Crux Subsurface, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR), is a geotechnical drilling company merging innovation with experience to consistently provide accurate data and efficient, constructible solutions to projects of any size. Our multidisciplinary team combines the expertise of structural and geotechnical engineers with experienced drillers, construction managers, geologists, and quality management specialists. Crux Subsurface is looking for a motivated and dependable Temporary Shop Helper to join our mechanic shop and warehouse team for approximately 2 months. This position will focus heavily on sandblasting our casing until the project is complete. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional shop environment while supporting our team with an important project.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Good attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to be on your feet for most of the day and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to safety
- Ability to work in a dusty, loud environment with proper PPE
Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting on casing and other materials as instructed
- Maintain a clean and organized sandblasting area
- Assist with general shop and warehouse duties when needed
- Move tools, equipment, and materials around the shop
- Follow all safety procedures related to sandblasting equipment and shop operations
