As a Temporary Security Guard - Community Patrol in San Carlos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer service that reflects our caring culture. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures for a commercial property.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting management and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the building, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity or hazards.
• Control access points by monitoring entry and exit, verifying authorization when required, issuing visitor instructions, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, maintenance issues, and service requests, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
