Requirements

Relevant Master's degree or Relevant Bachelor's and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or relevant independent experience and education
Experience with small fruit crops, including tissue culture, greenhouse production, and field management
Ability to perform controlled hybridizations in strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry
Proficiency in excising, propagating, and maintaining plant material in tissue culture
Experience monitoring greenhouse and field plants for pests and implementing basic IPM practices
Ability to manage plant care activities, including irrigation, fertilization, germination, and general crop maintenance
Experience in harvesting, recording, and analyzing phenotypic and experimental data
Ability to train others-including graduate and undergraduate students-in laboratory, greenhouse, and field techniques
Experience supervising undergraduate student workers in lab, greenhouse, and field settings
Valid driver's license
