About The Position

Join Lunds & Byerlys as a Full-Time Temporary Quality Assurance and Safety Coordinator at our production facility in Lake Mills location, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality within the grocery industry. This onsite position offers a dynamic work environment, allowing you to collaborate with a dedicated team committed to excellence and customer-centricity. At a competitive pay rate of $21.00-$29.00/hr, you'll be recognized for your skills in problem-solving and innovation as you contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products. This role will be scheduled Monday-Friday between the times of 6:00am-5:00pm. Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in chemistry, biology, food science or equivalent experience.
• One to three years' experience in plant quality control.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP preferred.
• Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, SQF and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Nice To Haves

• Licensing in Food Safety, HACCP, First Aid, CPR preferred.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment including pH meters and thermometers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of production and storage areas.
• Verify HACCP compliance.
• Perform quality checks on raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure all products meet the required specifications for food safety.
• Monitor production processes to prevent allergen cross-contamination.
• Manage temperature controls in storage areas.
• Assist in developing quality assurance procedures.
• Support new product launches.
• Investigate quality complaints.
