About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our paralegal team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience with in-house and corporate legal matters as well as with contracts, working directly with our in-house Counsel and Paralegal Team Lead. The Intern will assist with various tasks to support our legal team in delivering effective legal services.

This is a short-term, 10-hour per week internship, expected to last between nine and ten weeks.

Requirements

• Associate degree or in progress to achieve paralegal degree.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, BoldDesk, and/or CRM databases.
• North Carolina Paralegal Certification or in progress to achieve.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, organizing, and communicating any incoming external questions to legal leadership.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to gather information and ensure legal requirements are met.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals within the organization.
• Assist Paralegal Team Lead with internal audits and reviews.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal agreements.
• Perform legal research and analysis, as needed.
• Assist in sending and tracking agreements to external contacts.
• Assist in executing and organizing signed agreements.
