Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for Tennessee in Social Studies or Social Studies for middle school.
- Prior teaching experience, preferably with middle school students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
Responsibilities
- Teach Middle School Social Studies, including reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and other formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding academic progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of instruction.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events as required.
