This position will be based out of the Laguna Hills Multispecialty location, Monday - Friday (8am-5pm).

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency in Medical Assisting (Clinical/Back Office).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to perform duties required in a clinical environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining productivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting.
  • Phlebotomy certification and experience performing related procedures.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records such as EPIC and healthcare training platforms such as UC Learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-licensed clinical support to providers in an outpatient setting, assisting with patient care and basic clinical procedures.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to clinic operations, including documentation and patient coordination.
  • Communicate with patients to gather information, provide instructions, and support a positive patient experience.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and quality care delivery.
