The University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for the position of Temporary Marine Science Technician. This is an entry level position located at the University of Southern Mississippi's Hydrographic Science Research Center. The Hydrographic Science Research Center is located at the NASA John C. Stennis Space Center, which is a 'federal city' that boasts the world's largest concentration of marine scientists. The successful candidate will be required to pass a NASA background security check as well as a USM employment background check. The Marine Science Technician will assist experienced staff, gaining practical experience in data collection, field & laboratory work and equipment maintenance.
