About The Position

As a Temporary Mail Clerk, you will assist in facilitating the election process by using the mail-opening machinery to ensure all mail is opened, moved, and processed. This position requires the employee to be in the office/field or customer-facing for all hours worked. Requirements

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be a registered voter, or have the ability to become a registered voter, in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
• Must pass an applicable background screening
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Requires long periods of standing while utilizing electronic mail opening machinery to open ballots in bulk prior to pre-tabulation ballot processing
• Pushes and pulls baker racks that weigh up to 150 pounds and postal cages weighing up to 250 pounds around the mail room, pre-tabulation processing staging area, or secured ballot vault
• Assists with end-of-day clean-up and mail room organization
• Assists other divisions of Elections with their daily functions and activities, along with other job duties as assigned
