POWER Engineers Inc. is seeking a full-time, temporary Project-specific Lead Environmental Construction Monitor for our Environmental Division - Western Biology Department working on-site in Nevada. This position is designed for a detail-oriented candidate who possesses a demonstrated ability to work independently and has a successful history in biological survey efforts and environmental compliance monitoring. The selected candidate will report directly to the Construction Monitor Manager and will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of environmental compliance related to a transmission line project in Nevada. The role requires the candidate to support and help build the environmental project team, focusing on ensuring compliance with environmental regulations in both field and office settings. The Lead Environmental Construction Monitor will manage and organize NEPA and other environmental permit requirements, ensuring that the construction team adheres to all environmental guidelines. Collaboration with the construction team is essential for planning and scheduling monitors on a weekly and daily basis, as well as organizing monitors, surveys, permits, and compliance reporting. In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will be tasked with scheduling, onboarding, and directing environmental monitors on the project, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and data collection. The role also involves overseeing Monitor Field Leads and Monitors, reviewing daily reports, and addressing any environmental compliance issues that arise. Participation in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings is also a key component of this position, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed about project progress and compliance matters.
