Requirements

  • High school diploma and must be 18 years or older required
  • Food Manager Certification required
  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years kitchen experience in a health care setting required
  • Florida Driver's License with no more than two moving violations in the past three years
  • Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship from our company now or in the future
  • Communicate effectively at all levels; written and verbally
  • Operate all kitchen equipment safely
  • Recommend processes to improve quality of services
  • Teach and train staff
  • Influence behaviors by being a positive role model

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all dietary records
  • Adhere to all departmental food service policies and sanitation standards as outlined by Florida State Code 64E-11
  • Attend all house meetings and respond to concerns/problems. Inform Dietician if changes are needed
  • Develop, and update policies and procedures and other related areas in conjunction with the Registered Dietitian and Director of Cluster Services
  • Develop, implement, and monitor kitchen cleaning schedule
  • Monitor inventory and assure all menu items, supplemental feeding, and paper products are available
  • Coordinate with Registered Dietician menu cycles and review advanced preparations with cooks and up-date as necessary
  • Provide leadership to dietary staff, ensuring an efficient and effective department
  • Conduct monthly sanitation reviews with kitchen staff
  • Comply with all Federal/State laws and regulations
  • Check in and safely store all Medicare reimbursed and Medicaid tube feedings and tubing supplies
  • Provide suitable space, equipment, and materials as needed
  • Ensure client records are available and accurate
  • Provide in-service to all staff including but not limited to; policies, record keeping, systems, and programs
  • Provide consulting in any licensure/certification surveys as needed
  • Responsible for staying current on policy or regulation changes and communicate with staff
  • Checks in and safely stores all food orders, ensuring quality and food specifications are followed
  • Update and maintain adequate disaster food and food related supplies
  • Ensure all food is labeled and dated in the refrigerator
  • Responsible for preparation of meals according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and modified diets
  • Responsible for sanitation and safety of general work areas, supplies, equipment, and food storage areas
  • Special duties and projects as requested
