About The Position

Sorenson Multicultural Center is located in Salt Lake City in the Glendale neighborhood and offers a variety of recreational facilities including 2 basketball courts, a fitness room, an indoor pool, and a boxing gym. The center operates as a community resource center and provides a fun environment for its employees. The center is looking for motivated, reliable, and people-friendly staff to fill various positions in recreation, customer service, and custodial roles. Students and retirees are welcome to apply, and team members have the opportunity to work in more than one area.

Requirements

• Lifeguard certification for lifeguard positions.
• Experience in coaching or instructing swimming lessons for swim instructor positions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in youth sports or recreational activities.
• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Jr. Jazz Officials, Scorekeepers, Site Supervisors, and Clinicians for youth sports.
• Assist with outdoor soccer activities.
• Instruct group fitness classes (land).
• Lifeguard and supervise pool activities as a Lifeguard or Head Lifeguard.
• Teach swim lessons as a Swim Instructor.
