About The Position

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ES - ED AND PROF STUDIES department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following. Develop and maintain course documentation. Maintain audio-visual and/or other materials for courses taught. Prepare for class presentations. Provide and explain course syllabus. Present material as so to enable coverage of vital concepts and permit student understanding. Engage students in team discussions similar to that of the work environments. Use computer applications such as Blackboard, GTC4me, and college email in communicating assignments and grades to students. Requirements

  • Architectural Engineering Technology: (MINIMUM) Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering or AAS and registered architect and minimum of four (4) years office experience and architectural drafting skill.
  • Construction Engineering Technology: (MINIMUM) Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in architectural, construction science, engineering technology or a related field or Bachelor's degree and a residential or commercial license and four (4) years office experience including building codes application.
  • Engineering Design Technology: (MINIMUM) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a PE license and three (3) years of experience in industry.
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology: (MINIMUM) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a PE license and three (3) years of experience in industry.
  • Electrical Engineering Technology: (MINIMUM) Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • Note: All engineering transfer tracks require a minimum of a Master's or Doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline or a Master's degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 18 hours in the teaching discipline. In all cases, the applicant must have a minimum of five (5) years of industry experience and one year of teaching with favorable reviews.

Nice To Haves

  • Architectural Engineering Technology: (PREFERRED) Master's degree in architectural engineering or CSM or engineering. Registered Architect preferred.
  • Construction Engineering Technology: (PREFERRED) Master's degree in CSM or engineering or Master's degree and residential or commercial license.
  • Engineering Design Technology: (PREFERRED) Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Engineering, or Civil Engineering.In any case five (5) years of experience in industry and one year of teaching with favorable reviews.
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology: (PREFERRED) Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Engineering, or Civil Engineering.In any case five (5) years of experience in industry and one year of teaching with favorable reviews.
