About The Position

Holcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America's oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities. Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • 5 years related experience.
  • Must pass all plant minimum required hiring qualifications.
  • Must be willing to work holidays, weekends various shifts and overtime as directed.
  • Intimate knowledge of the equipment and its capabilities and operational requirements.
  • Extensive experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment.
  • Extensive hydraulics, diagnostic, electrical and schematic knowledge.
  • Limited machinist skills, able to read precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to travel through a Cement plant, i.e. walk over obstacles, climb stairs and ladders, lift heavy or awkward parts, wear personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturer Preventative Maintenance Program for all HME equipment per site you are responsible for.
  • Work with site mechanics and personnel to develop any necessary extra maintenance programs.
  • Operate and maintain lube truck per LafargeHolcim standards.
  • Troubleshoot & repair all problems with HME (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc.).
  • Help forecast upcoming equipment repairs and needs, work with plant personnel in having supplies on hand to perform repairs when arriving on sites.
  • Work with Management on cost control.
  • Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
