Edelman is seeking a Temporary Group Creative Director, Copy to lead breakthrough creative that earns attention and drives cultural impact. Our creative teams develop integrated ideas that move beyond traditional advertising formats — spanning earned, social, digital, experiential, and beyond. This role requires a senior creative leader who can transform strategic insights into bold, culture-shaping ideas across platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading integrated teams, presenting to senior clients, and delivering work that drives both cultural relevance and business impact.

Requirements

  • Ten (10+) years of relevant creative experience, preferably within an integrated agency environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Advertising, or related creative discipline
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of high-caliber creative work from strategy through execution

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in concept development and art direction within integrated marketing, advertising, or PR environments
  • Deep understanding of the production process across multiple platforms and formats
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver persuasive presentations that drive client growth
  • Experience leading and mentoring art directors, copywriters, and designers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of the role of earned media and social within the broader communications ecosystem

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead breakthrough creative concepts rooted in strong insights and cultural relevance
  • Translate strategic thinking into compelling, best-in-class creative across platforms and audiences
  • Ensure work aligns with brand voice and differentiates clients in competitive markets
  • Guide and elevate creative output across sectors including tech, lifestyle, entertainment, tourism, and more
  • Partner with strategy and planning to shape strong briefs and define success metrics
  • Collaborate with production to bring ideas to life across formats and channels
  • Work closely with account and integrated teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Lead client presentations with confidence and a clear creative point of view
  • Build and mentor high-performing creative teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability
  • Serve as a senior client lead, effectively engaging and influencing C-suite stakeholders
