Temporary Greenhouse Technician
About The Position
This job is to assist MPRU staff-members with specific tasks: 1) Watering greenhouse/screenhouse MPRU plants, 2) Taking care of greenhouse plants (potting, repotting, pruning, cleaning and maintenance), 3) Massive propagation of sweetpotato clean stock in the tissue culture lab and the greenhouse, 4) Pest and weed control of assigned greenhouses. It is expected this person will be trained for all these activities for all crops currently grown at the MPRU (sweetpotato, berries and muscadine grapes). 5) Cleanup of lab material (washing tissue culture magenta boxes, autoclaving and trash disposal). Requirements
- Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties
- Valid driver's license
