About The Position

The Department of Teacher Education at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), invites highly qualified, motivated, and well-organized applicants for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends in mid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available.

Requirements

• Required degree (MA/MS or doctorate in education or related field for teaching courses and Bachelor's degree and appropriate credential for supervision).
• Minimum of three-five years of PK-12 experience with linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse students.
• Supervisors must hold a valid Teaching or Administrative Credential.
• Experience in teaching and working with colleagues from diverse ages, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior college-level teaching experience.
• A doctorate in education or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned upper division courses in the department's curriculum or supervising student teachers and university interns.
• Serve weekly office hours based on assigned teaching unit load.
• Demonstrate and employ digital tools that enhance learning in all courses.
• Collaborate with faculty and public school partners in the development, review, and assessment.
• Assist with promoting Teacher Education programs and recruiting students.
