About The Position

The Modern Languages Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), invites highly qualified, motivated, and well-organized applicants for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. CSUDH is seeking applications from candidates who can demonstrate experience in teaching and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the University's mission, vision, and core values. The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends in mid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available.

Requirements

• A Master degree in French
• Appropriate experience related to the subject of the course(s) assigned.
• Experience in teaching adult learners from diverse ages, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching.
• A Doctoral degree in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline.
• Experience teaching online

• To teach a Beginning French course in the Spring of 2026
