About The Position

The Temporary Event Staff position is designed to provide service to the general public and assist in the overall operation of events at Austin Tindall Sports Complex and Buenaventura Lakes Baseball Park. This seasonal role involves various responsibilities including ticket sales, customer service, and event support, ensuring a smooth experience for patrons attending events.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months of customer service experience dealing with the public.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and employees.

Responsibilities

• Greeting the general public to the facility as a Greeter.
• Selling admission tickets or wristbands to events, handling cash and credit cards as a Ticket Seller.
• Verifying wristbands and/or taking tickets from patrons as a Ticket Taker.
• Collecting cash, distributing parking tickets, and directing patrons as a Parking Attendant.
• Guiding and assisting patrons to their proper seating/standing area as an Usher.
• Searching bags for prohibited items and monitoring events as Security personnel.
• Monitoring lines at entry gates and assisting ticket takers and security personnel as a Gate Attendant.
• Assisting scorekeepers and media during athletic events in the Press Box.
• Keeping score and operating the scoreboard/video board as a Scorekeeper.
• Tracking online reservations and assisting with walk-in reservations as a Batting Cage Attendant.
• Cleaning restrooms and restocking supplies as a Restroom Attendant.
• Picking up trash and assisting groundskeepers as a Rover.
• Bagging ice and filling coolers for events as an Ice Plant Attendant.
