About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Temporary Equipment Operator to join our team. This role plays an important part in helping our production team meet customer needs and deadlines. You’ll set up, operate, and maintain equipment to keep things running smoothly and ensure our products meet high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Mechanical ability and interest in working with production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and good math skills.
• Ability to set and adjust mechanisms to the required tolerances.
• Solid reading and comprehension skills for following work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
• Constantly operates machinery and handles printed materials.
• Frequently required to move throughout the facility.
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry).

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with production or printing equipment.
• Ability to work with very close tolerances.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Good color discernment and attention to fine details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to keep it running efficiently.
• Mix and prepare inks to achieve the proper color and consistency.
• Check paper for type, size, color, and quantity before each job.
• Inspect printing plates and make sure the format is correct.
• Monitor production runs for quality and consistency throughout the process.
• Work closely with your production team to prioritize jobs and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
• Keep your work area organized and maintain a strong focus on safety.
