About The Position

Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Temporary Engineering Designer/Drafter at its McKinney, TX location. This position will provide design and drafting support to the product design team. The assignment will last 6 months. Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 3 - 5 years of experience with general mechanical or electrical design and drafting projects.
• SOLIDWORKS experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings and documents using SOLIDWORKS software.
• Perform engineering design calculations.
• Work with plant personnel to collect project information and communicate findings both orally and in writing.
• Work as a team member on various projects.
• Design and produce 3D printed fixtures for winding and testing.
