About The Position

The Temporary Discipleship Coordinator for the Marriage Ministry at Mariners Church is responsible for providing administrative support to the marriage ministry, ensuring effective management of groups, courses, and events. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain databases, manage logistics, and coordinate events while fostering positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and congregants.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working or volunteering in a ministry is preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple systems including database management and event management tools.
  • High attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and efficient work characteristics.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines on time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a ministry team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and report on Married Life Groups and Marriage team volunteers within the database.
  • Complete a wide range of administrative tasks including email correspondence, spreadsheets, and digital file management.
  • Manage on-campus room reservations and logistics for all Marriage Ministry groups, courses, and events.
  • Ensure that all event logistics and operations are well organized and executed.
