The Temporary Development Assistant will support the Parent Development team under Major Giving. This unit supports up to four major giving officers. Fundraising work focuses on managing the qualification, solicitation, and stewardship of individual giving from alumni, parents, and friends for gifts between $250,000 and $4,999,000. The Temporary Development Assistant works alongside fundraisers, university colleagues and external constituents to develop, support and maintain programs and activities consistent with securing philanthropic support for the University. Given the extensive independent contact with external constituents including alumni and parent volunteers, donors, and university officials, this position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy; excellent oral and written communications skills; and complete discretion regarding the handling and storing of confidential data. The Office of University Advancement supports the mission of Boston College by promoting a culture of inclusion that values each individual. Our recruiting practices support that commitment to build diverse teams reflecting our community; students, alumni, parents and friends of Boston College.
