Required Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health, or a related behavioral health field required. Must hold an active associate-level license in the state of Georgia (e.g., Licensed Master Social Worker [ LMSW ], Associate Professional Counselor [ APC ], or equivalent) and have a minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience while under supervision toward independent licensure. Must be in good standing with the applicable Georgia licensing board and actively working toward full independent licensure ( LCSW , LPC , or Licensed Psychologist). Preferred Qualifications This position requires knowledge of systems approaches, women’s issues, and race and ethnicity issues. Incumbent should be particularly strong in working with African-American women. The duties of this position require someone who has demonstrated sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of a diverse population. The incumbent should be self- motivated, have high ethical standards, and be flexible in schedules and methods. This position requires the ability to work with minimum supervision. This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. The incumbent should be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, faculty, staff, parents, regulatory agencies, or members of the general community. This position also requires the ability to effectively present information to administrators, faculty and the president. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have beginner skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, and Excel) to produce correspondence, memos, e-mails, and maintain client records.
