About The Position

This position is housed within the Rural and Community Programs division of the Quillen College of Medicine—a division dedicated to educating future physicians, particularly those interested in primary care in underserved and rural communities. This part-time role will work alongside the Administrative Staff and Faculty to assist the department in ancillary needs. The role is being created with a Quillen College of Medicine student in mind to assist with tasks set forth by the Director of Rural and Community Programs. This temporary hire will be scheduled to work around class/rotation schedules and work not more than 15 hours/week on-site. The schedule will be determined by the Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled at Quillen College of Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Collecting alumni data and updating the RPCT alumni database/map.
  • Working alongside the Director and Administrator to create a correspondence system for RPCT alumni to grow further engagement.
  • Working alongside the Administrator to compile the Welcome to material for onboarding Volunteer Faculty.
  • Organizing a notification system about recurring student opportunities – such as deadlines for Student NRHA positions, poster submissions, etc.
  • Managing teaching materials/supplies, including pulling them for class/event, organizing, and reshelving after the event.
  • Assisting the Director with proper inventorying of teaching materials and working with the Administrator to purchase as needed.
  • Assist the Rural Programs coordinator with catering for events to include set-up and breakdown. Student will work with staff to ensure proper purchasing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
