The University of Virginia is seeking Temporary Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Certified Nursing Assistants assist with caring for patients. They prepare patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs and entering into EMR, maintain clinic flow, assist staff with procedures, ensure patient safety, maintain infection-control standards, prepare patients for discharge/home care, and maintain unit supplies and equipment. Under the direction of the LPN and Team Leader in the respective module, the CNA is part of a team and establishes priorities by collaborating with other team members. The CNA follows protocols for obtaining vital signs and performing simple procedures and receives formal supervision from the Clinic Manager.
