About The Position

The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient
transportation of seasonal employees to
to and from living quarters, designated
work sites and other approved locations. This position requires
operating a bus
with a maximum capacity of 54 adults along scheduled routes, including travel on
public
highways. The driver must maintain strict adherence to traffic laws,
safety standards, and company policies
at all times.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience moving passengers utilizing a bus preferred.
• Class A or B CDL license with passenger endorsement required.
• Medical certification from a certified DOT approved doctor required.
• Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) states, commercial motor vehicle drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records per DOT Regulations.
• Must have registered with the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse through Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
• Ability to work split shifts, weekends and possible holiday work.
• This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Transportation of seasonal employees to and from living quarters, designated work sites and other approved locations via certified vehicles.
• Delivery of meals to and from living quarters, to and from living quarters, designated work sites and other approved locations via certified vehicles.
• Must follow all state and local authority regulations regarding transport vehicle requirements.
• Performs daily preventative maintenance inspection, and operator level maintenance. Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages.
• Communicate with supervisor and other drivers as needed to coordinate routes, schedules, and fueling requirements.
• Perform pre-stretching exercises (5-10 minutes).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
