About The Position

The Temporary Branch Member Advocate is primarily responsible for providing effective member service at the Credit Union of Colorado. This role requires a compassionate and approachable individual dedicated to enriching the member experience by utilizing in-depth knowledge of financial products and services. The Member Advocate will connect with members, build trust, and advocate for their needs, ensuring a high level of service and expertise in various financial offerings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six months related experience in a financial retail environment preferred.
  • Two to three years of direct retail sales experience and cash handling preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in basic math operations and data entry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Symitar and DocuSign is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a customer service role within the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan processes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport with members and uncover their needs to recommend tailored solutions.
  • Open new member accounts and service existing accounts while safeguarding member information.
  • Maintain knowledge of all credit union programs to ensure exemplary service and accuracy.
  • Provide deposit, consumer, and mortgage loan services to members.
  • Collaborate with other branches and support departments to facilitate appropriate solutions for members.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in various roles including teller operations and reception duties.
  • Effectively use all delivery channels such as in-person, telephone, email, and video conferencing.
  • Complete onboarding and display a member-centric approach in service delivery.
  • Meet or exceed scorecard expectations in member service and accuracy.
  • Perform maintenance on accounts and assist with branch reporting and balancing as needed.
  • Comply with NCUA requirements and maintain necessary registrations and licenses.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
