About The Position
The City of Austin is seeking a Temporary Aircraft Mechanic for the Police Department. This part-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with four years of experience in aircraft repair. The role involves performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various aircraft, including both rotor wing and fixed wing types. The mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, disassembling and overhauling aircraft components, and maintaining records of repairs and maintenance schedules. The position requires a valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certification and a Texas Class C Driver License.
